From making girls cry at Murder by Death shows to covering "The Shah Sleeps in Lee Harvey's Grave" in front of senior citizens, Dylan Ettinger has always been One Rude Dude. He began his musical career by forming the cult Northern Indiana group WTE, which went on to play shows with bands such as Everything Now and Ari Ari. The band released several albums and were featured on the Burning Trash compilation with Copycat Massacre and Rupert Bomb.
After WTE's demise he began his solo project with the release of his first album "... and the Happy Topsoil" in 2006. His songwriting captured the heart of Midwestern America, characterized mainly by his internal struggle of living in a culturally non-existent town. He solved this problem by hosting many free shows open to everyone, and encouraging other bands to spring up in the area.
"Great artists suffer for the people," says Dylan, and he plans on suffering as much as he can throughout the rest of his promising career. He spends his time working on an EP for Rack and Ruin Records and also a full-length entitled "Grim Eternal Blackness." He has shared the stage with many friends from Indiana including Murder by Death, Drekka, Caethua, Husband&Wife, and more. Along with his two new releases, he will be touring in December with fellow Hoosiers Kill and Eat.
