Ohio's, The Crayons are about to make your day a whole lot better! It's often easy to be swayed by some impressive guitar riff, or swooned by an awesome drum solo - but it is often the seemingly simpler stuff that leaves you with mouth agape. The Crayons keyboard driven pop on occasion may sound like a masterclass of a Casio SK-1 demo button, but what a class it is! Joyous, fun, upbeat, and a truly welcome addition to the Rack & Ruin release list.

We have many new and interesting artists who are about to put out their first releases on Rack & Ruin, perhaps take some time to familiarise yourself with them now! The Crayons are next up (Saturday 26th), followed by the blissful piano sounds of Kriva. Coming in the not too distant future we should have releases from Candy Fiasco, Slothbear, and hopefully some more familiar faces.

As anybody who knows me will attest, I have had said many a nice word about Magnavox's new album, Found Vibrations. This cleverly constructed album mixes samples, sound, and structured music into experimental and yet melodic pop.

When you get contacted by a Slothbear, who suggests that you check out their friend, then it is a good idea to listen up. This is what happened with regards to Anna Bradley finding his way to Rack & Ruin. This pristinely produced EP should suit fans of guitar driven indie rock releases.

dessktop is one of the most talked about Rack & Ruin musicians. His music has managed to excite, and inspire others to write about him, and ask questions, intrigued by the musician and artist behind this pseudonym. This EP is a collection of voicemails carefully crafted into music. I expect more questions to follow.
